Fresha alternative for Thai salons: SeeU vs Fresha

If you are looking for a Fresha alternative in Thailand, SeeU is a salon app built for Bangkok: priced in baht from 990 THB a month (excluding 7% VAT), with a Thai-language app and booking page, and a local marketplace where Bangkok clients book. Fresha remains the bigger international name, with a global marketplace and, by its own pricing page, over 130,000 businesses using it worldwide.

This guide puts both tools on the same criteria. We are the SeeU team, so we stick to what each company publishes, and every Fresha figure comes with its source.

In short

  • Fresha charges per person in Thailand: 525 THB a month for one team member, or 350 THB per team member on the Team plan.
  • SeeU costs from 990 THB a month excluding 7% VAT, with a 30-day free trial.
  • Fresha also takes a one-time fee of about 20% on each brand-new client from its marketplace, and charges extra for loyalty (1,600 THB a month) and a website (475 THB a month).
  • SeeU's app and booking page work in Thai, and its marketplace targets clients in Bangkok.
  • You can export your Fresha client list in CSV or Excel, but not saved card details.

In short: which salon each one fits

Three sentences sum up the choice.

  • Fresha fits salons that want an international brand, a global marketplace and a tool that works the same way in many countries.
  • SeeU fits salons, spas and studios in Bangkok that want a monthly price in baht, an app in Thai and new clients from a Bangkok marketplace.
  • Both cover the daily basics: calendar, online booking, client files, point of sale, packages and memberships.

The real difference lies less in the features than in how you pay and where new clients come from. You can see all SeeU features on one page, or read the detail point by point below.

Pricing and fees compared

SeeU costs from 990 THB a month, excluding 7% VAT, after a 30-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime. The price is set in baht, and the pricing page shows no per-staff price. Email and push reminders are free; every plan includes free SMS each month, then 1.5 THB per SMS. You can check all SeeU plan prices on the pricing page.

Fresha's pricing page for Thailand charges per person. Independent costs 525 THB a month for one team member; Team costs 350 THB a month per bookable team member, so the bill grows with every stylist or therapist you add. Both plans come with a 7-day trial, and Enterprise pricing is custom for businesses with more than 20 team members.

For a team of 5, Fresha Team comes to 5 × 350 = 1,750 THB a month before add-ons, text messages and new-client fees. SeeU starts from 990 THB a month for the salon, and its pricing page lists no charge per team member. We read Fresha's prices in Thai baht on Fresha's pricing page in October 2026; they exclude local taxes.

What comes on top of the plan at Fresha

Fresha's page also lists usage fees and paid add-ons, shown below. Card rates and the new-client fee are charged per transaction, so they grow with your bookings. Returning clients, and bookings through your own link, Facebook or Instagram, carry no new-client fee.

Feature by feature

The table below puts both tools on the same criteria. SeeU items come from our for-business pages; Fresha items come from its official pricing page.

“Not verified” means we did not find the item on Fresha's public pages; it does not mean the feature is missing, so ask Fresha before you rely on it. Fresha's page also does not show which features belong to the Independent plan and which to Team.

On SeeU, items marked (Premium) need the higher plan, and every plan starts with a 30-day free trial.

New clients: the Bangkok marketplace

Your shop gets its own page on the SeeU marketplace, in the app and on seeuapp.io, where clients look for hair, nail, spa and skincare salons in Bangkok and book online at any hour. Clients earn points with every visit on the SeeU app, which gives them a reason to book again. Here is how the SeeU marketplace in Bangkok works.

Fresha's marketplace is global: its site claims more than 25 million customers looking to book. Fresha also runs Thailand pages that list Bangkok salons with prices in THB. We found no published Fresha audience figure for Thailand.

Three more ways SeeU brings clients

  • Your own booking link to share on Instagram, LINE or your Google Business profile
  • Your own salon website where clients book at any hour, domain name included
  • Ads run by the SeeU team on Google, Instagram and TikTok: photos, videos and text made for you, adjusted every week

If you stay on Fresha, one piece of advice from its users is worth following: import your client list before you promote your marketplace page, so regulars are not counted as new clients and charged the fee.

Switching from Fresha to SeeU

Fresha lets you export your client list in Excel or CSV, and your appointments as PDF, CSV or Excel. Card details saved in Fresha cannot be exported, under card-security (PCI) rules, so clients enter their card again when they leave a deposit on SeeU.

Steps to switch

  1. In Fresha, export your client list as CSV or Excel.
  2. Export your upcoming appointments, so no booking gets lost during the move.
  3. Note your services, durations and prices, then create them in SeeU, in Thai and English.
  4. Bring your clients into SeeU: in Clients, choose Import and upload a CSV file. SeeU gives you a sample file, and only the first name is required..
  5. Share your SeeU booking link on Instagram, LINE and Google, and keep Fresha open until the last booked appointment.

During the 30-day trial, you can book a free 30-minute demo, online or at your salon, to see the setup with your own services.

Frequently asked questions

Is Fresha really free?

Not anymore, according to Fresha's pricing page for Thailand: it lists paid plans only, 525 THB a month for one person or 350 THB a month per team member, with a 7-day trial. Older reviews describe the core software as free, but the official page now shows subscriptions. A one-time fee of about 20% on each brand-new marketplace client, text messages beyond the free quota and paid add-ons come on top.

Can I move my client data from Fresha to SeeU?

Yes for your client list: Fresha exports it in Excel or CSV, and your appointments in PDF, CSV or Excel. Saved card details cannot be exported, so clients enter their card again. SeeU then imports that list from a CSV file, with a sample file to follow.

Does SeeU have Thai language and local support?

Yes for the language: the SeeU app and your public booking page work in Thai, English and French, including service names you can translate per language. SeeU offers a free 30-minute demo, online or at your salon. You can also chat with the SeeU team on LINE.

Can I use SeeU and Fresha at the same time?

Yes, nothing in either offer prevents it. SeeU's pages describe no link with Fresha, so each tool keeps its own calendar and you must block slots in both to avoid double bookings. Keep the overlap short, for example during the 30-day trial.

Does Fresha work in Thailand?

Fresha lists salons in Thailand on its marketplace, including Bangkok salons priced in THB, and its pricing page shows Thai baht rates. We did not find whether Fresha's own card payments are available in Thailand, so check with Fresha before you plan to take payments through it.

How much does SeeU cost?

SeeU costs from 990 THB a month, excluding 7% VAT, after a 30-day free trial. You can cancel anytime, and email and push reminders are free.
